Black Opal Books Announces Price Reduction Through December

Press Release

Black Opal Books has announced it's plan to reduce the price of all books in their inventory,  regardless of format, through the end of December.

Oregon - December 4, 2011 (Klimb News Wire) -

Sunday, December 4, 2011: Black Opal Books has announced they are knocking one dollar off the price of every book in their inventory, regardless of format, through end of December.

“We’re doing this as a thank you to our loyal customers who have so patiently suffered with us through our first year’s growing pains,” says Lauri Wellington, the boutique publisher’s senior editor. “It may sound a touch naïve, but no one on the board expected us to grow quite so rapidly and the website shopping cart that was installed simply couldn’t handle the demand.”

When asked why they have grown so fast, she replies, “We’ve been extremely fortunate in the authors we’ve attracted. We’ve signed some fabulous talent this year and have released books from well-known authors such as the best-selling YA novelist Bonnie Hearn Hill, romance author Pinkie Paranya, and the online dating guru, Diane L. Roberts, whose hilarious non-fiction book on internet dating was released by Black Opal in September. We’ve also signed several less well-known, but equally outstanding authors like Alyssa Lyons, KH LeMoyne, Terry Campbell, Anne Whitfield, Sherry Gloag, and Pepper O’Neal. In addition, we’ve been immensely fortunate to find some brilliant debut authors like Christopher Allan Poe, Debbie Christiana, Mona Karel, Bethany Ramos, and Jami Gray. And those are just the authors whose books we’ve released this year. We have a whole selection of wonderful manuscripts we’ll be releasing in 2012.”

Black Opal wish to thank all those customers who patiently struggled through purchases on the old shopping cart. They have installed a new high-tech shopping cart to make purchasing a book simple and convenient. Although previous customers will have to recreate their logins, the more user-friendly shopping cart should be well worth it.
